LONDON, Dec. 25 (UPI) -- British actress Kate Beckinsale has been robbed twice in as many days while shopping in London, the World Entertainment News Network reported Saturday.
The star of "Underworld" and "Van Helsing" was pick-pocketed Monday while shopping with her producer husband Len Wiseman in Harrods department store.
"Kate and Lenny spent a few hours browsing. But when they got to the till they realized they had been stung. It was a disaster, they had no way to pay," a source close to the couple was quoted as saying.
"It was a real panic because they had left all their Christmas shopping to the last minute. They borrowed money from friends to make sure there would be presents under the tree on Christmas morning."
Beckinsale later returned to the store with her personal assistant, who had her purse stolen during the visit.
