NEW YORK, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Former "Moesha" star Shar Jackson says her group's long-delayed album is going to be "really, really funky."

The new album by Mpulz, which first appeared on 2001's "The Princess Diaries" soundtrack, includes material written by Jackson about her relationship with Kevin Federline, now married to Brittney Spears, MTV.com reported.

Jackson recently gave birth to her second child by Federline.

"It's a five-girl group, multiracial, pop, R&B-ish, really, really, funky," Jackson said. "I want it to be a big surprise, but it's some really incredible people."

The first single, "Hot Girls," is due early next year.

"It's kind of fitting because, you know, we're hot girls," Jackson said.
