LOS ANGELES, Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Marlon Brando will star as "The Godfather" again, in a new video game based on the Oscar-winning movie, The Hollywood Reporter said Wednesday.

Brando -- who died July 1 of pulmonary fibrosis -- appears in a trailer advertising the game.

The product is the latest in Electronic Arts' growing stable of games featuring licensed images from Hollywood. It's based on Francis Ford Coppola's 1972 movie and the 1969 Mario Puzo novel that started "The Godfather" franchise.

EA acquired the rights to use Brando's likeness for the game before the actor died. The Reporter said the company is working closely with Paramount Pictures on the project, which is scheduled to ship next fall.
