Slain Dutch director's last film premieres

THE HAGUE, Netherlands, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Slain Dutch director Theo van Gogh's final film, titled "06/05," has premiered in The Hague, the BBC reported Monday.

Van Gogh's family and other celebrities attended the screening of the film, based on the killing of anti-immigration politician Pim Fortuyn. The movie is scheduled to be available for internet download Wednesday and will be released in Dutch theaters in January.

Van Gogh was shot and stabbed to death Nov. 7 in Amsterdam. A Dutch-Moroccan man, accused of having links to radical Islamist groups, has been charged with the crime.

Van Gogh made a film in early 2004 that accused Islam of promoting violence against women. The movie caused outrage among Muslims and Van Gogh received numerous related death threats.
