NEW YORK, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Bernie Goetz, who shot four teenagers in a New York City subway car in 1985 because he thought they were going to rob him, is in the movie "Silver Night."

Goetz has finished filming his scenes in the low-budget horror movie of screenwriter-producer Glenn Andreiev, the New York Daily News reported Sunday.

In "Silver Night," Goetz plays a nutrition adviser to the vampires, who shoots a character, but Goetz only dabbles in acting, his day job is running a small electronics supply company he calls Vigilante Electronics.

However, Goetz has appeared in one other Andreiev movie, "Every Move You Make." In that film, he is cast as a criminologist who shows a stalking victim how to fire a pistol.

Andreiev has admitted he sought out Goetz because he thought the subway shooter's notoriety might help sell the movie.

"Silver Night" is in postproduction and has a February or March release date.

Goetz was acquitted of all charges for the 1985 shooting except illegal gun possession, for which he served 250 days in jail.
