Holly Deveaux to play Casey Anthony
WASHINGTON, N.J., Dec. 10 (UPI) -- A group of New Jersey high schoolers got a glimpse of another side of show business when invited to sing with Clay Aiken.
The Gloucester County school's vocal group was invited to appear with the "American Idol" star at his sold-out concert in Washington Township last week.
But, by night's end, the group had been bullied and berated and were even stiffed for their services, the Philadelphia Inquirer said.
When one adult dared to speak up, Aiken dressed her down and called her a disgrace. She happened to be the New Jersey teacher of the year.
"They got a bigger picture of the music industry," Superintendent Mike Toscano said. "They got their eyes opened. They got a taste of real-life show business maybe they didn't have before."
