LOS ANGELES, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Colin Farrell will make his American prime time TV debut in an episode of "Scrubs," Daily Variety reported Wednesday.

Farrell -- the star of Oliver Stone's new movie epic "Alexander" -- will appear in the NBC comedy's Jan. 25 episode. Variety said Farrell will reportedly play "an unruly Irishman" named Billy Callahan.

Farrell is a friend of "Scrubs" star Zach Braff.
