Stone to make film of Margaret Thatcher

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Liberal filmmaker Oliver Stone plans to make a movie about Margaret Thatcher, Britain's conservative prime minister.

Stone reportedly has decided who should take the lead role, World Entertainment New Network reported Friday.

"Margaret Thatcher is an amazing woman and a good subject for a film. I'm thinking about Meryl Streep to play the Iron Lady."

Among Stone's many works are a film of shamed President Richard Nixon, John Kenney's assassination and a flattering TV documentary on Fidel Castro.
