BELGRADE, Serbia, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Fugitive Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic is close to having his first play produced, the Times of London reported Wednesday.
The play titled "Situation" is headed for a Belgrade theater that, during the day, is a vintage car museum. Rehearsals could begin in as soon as a month, an actor told the newspaper.
Karadzic, accused of masterminding the massacre of 8,000 Muslims in 1995, has managed to evade NATO attempts to arrest him.
"This play is a black comedy, telling the story of how someone becomes a leader," Karadzic's daughter Sonja told the Times of London. "But the message is that the leader cannot have his own mind and make his own decisions. ... It could be set any time, in any country."
The production is the latest step in a literary career that has produced a number of books during his seven years of hiding, the newspaper said, two of which have been printed.
