NEW YORK, Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Irish actor Colin Farrell says working with filmmaker Oliver Stone on the epic "Alexander" was all he dreamed it would be.
"(Oliver's) an amazing man. An amazing man! Highly intelligent. An incredible artist and very honest. Very tough and also very compassionate," Farrell recently told UPI. "I'd work with him again in a second."
Farrell went on to say the "Platoon" and "JFK" writer-director was flexible when his "Alexander" cast had questions or offered suggestions about their lines and scenes.
"Oliver understands that at the end of the day, you're the one that's up there," Farrell reasoned. "You're the one that has to say the lines and it's going to be your face, your eyes, your soul, your blood, your sweat, your tears and so, understanding that, of course he insisted on everyone having input. He doesn't want to be a puppet master. He was great and he knew, I think, every part better than the actors and he imparted whatever knowledge he has and then lets you fly with it."
