"This book is a must-have collector's item for the millions of die-hard NASCAR fans across the country," said John Walsh, executive vice president and executive editor, ESPN.

"'3' is a fresh, colorful look at the man who endeared himself to fans and helped make NASCAR one of America's premiere spectator sports."

Earnhardt earned the nickname "The Intimidator" as he raced to seven Winston Cup championships before he died in a crash on the last lap of NASCAR's Daytona 500, in 2001. He won money than any other NASCAR driver -- more than $41 million.

"Earnhardt was one of the fiercest competitors in sports," Walsh added. "But he was most loved by those close to him for his sense of humor and heart."
