NEW YORK, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Jamie Lee Curtis says it's not intentional, but she IS following in her actress mom Janet Leigh's footsteps.
"If I look back on my career, my entire career is a footprint of my mother without me ever thinking about it," the "Christmas with the Kranks" star recently told reporters in New York.
"She did movies where she was the straight girl to very funny men," Curtis continued. "I made a living out of that. Horror movie, kind of a classic of its time, I didn't know. Played 'real' girls all the way through. Was known for her incredible body. I'm not joking. Every where down the road. She wrote books. I, just without ever thinking I was doing it, I followed her path all the way down the line."
Curtis launched her career with the classic slasher flick, "Halloween," then went on to make movies like "Trading Places," "A Fish Called Wanda," "True Lies" and "Freaky Friday."
Her late mom starred in dozens of movies, including "Psycho," "Holiday Affair" and "Angels in the Outfield."
Both women are also published authors.
