LOS ANGELES, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Although tabloids may have linked Colin Farrell to various women over the years, the handsome Irish actor swears his one true love is his baby son.
"Being a dad hasn't affected the choices I've made as an actor at all," the "Alexander" star told UPI in a recent phone interview. "It's affected my life. I've met the love of my life in the last 14 months and I'm glad that he's around. I've fallen in love and it's the one time I've fallen in love and I know it's going to last."
The divorced, 28-year-old actor's former girlfriend, Kim Bordenave, gave birth to baby James last summer while Farrell was in Morocco working on the new Oliver Stone epic.
Best-known for his performances in "Daredevil" and "Phone Booth," he said he plans to show "Alexander" to his son and explain why he was absent the day he was born.
"In respect to all of the reasons in the world that I couldn't be there for the birth, for his arriving into the world, I'll have to tell him. He's not going to remember (that I wasn't there,)" Farrell said.
