LOS ANGELES, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- In the CBS miniseries, "Category 6: Day of Destruction," airing Sunday and concluding Wednesday, viewers tornadoes and hurricanes colliding in Chicago.

Storm chaser "Tornado Tom," played by Randy Quaid, films the oncoming disaster of storms barreling on the Midwest, which is also experiencing a power outage, the New York Daily News reported Saturday.

Nancy McKeon, a hard-nosed TV reporter covering the story, suspects skullduggery, a hacker, or, perhaps, even terrorism.

The Storm Prediction Center is headed by Andy Goodman, played by Brian Dennehy. He admits miscalling some past storms, errors he said he made when he failed to rely on his gut instincts.

The four-hour production is filled with special effects, such as the collapse of the St. Louis Arch.
