NEW YORK, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- "American Idol" runner-up Justin Guarini has been booted from the cast of Broadway's "Good Vibrations," E! Online reports.

Guarini, 26, has been plagued by movie and record flops since coming in second to Kelly Clarkson on "Idol's" inaugural season.

Neither Guarini nor the producers of "Good Vibrations" have given a reason for the parting of ways, E! said. The musical featuring the music of the Beach Boys is scheduled to open Jan. 27 at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre.

Westin Rinehart, his latest management team, which last week issued a release touting his appearance in "Good Vibrations," also reportedly dropped Guarini, E! said.

When called for comment on the report, Westin Rinehart told E! the firm "was no longer repping" Guarini.
