LOS ANGELES, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Pamela Seals, Burt Reynolds' ex-girlfriend, has sued the actor in Los Angeles for 50 percent of income and assets acquired during their lengthy relationship.

Seals' legal action, filed Tuesday, also accuses Reynolds of abuse and falsely promising to look after Seals and her mother for the rest of their lives, "Entertainment Tonight" reported Wednesday.

The new lawsuit comes one day after Reynolds filed a suit in Florida, alleging Seals attempted extortion by demanding millions of dollars to keep quiet about alleged abuse.

Reynolds' attorney said Seals was offered $1 million to drop her abuse claims, although Florida law does not entitle Seals to any of Reynolds' assets because the couple never married.

Seals claims she was abused during the course of her relationship with Reynolds and was never offered a settlement.

The couple lived in both Florida and California during their courtship.
