LOS ANGELES, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Recently discovered British TV footage of the Beatles singing "She Loves You" and "I Want To Hold Your Hand" will be shown during the American Music Awards.
The producer of the U.S. awards show, Dick Clark, said footage of the Beatles singing their first hits from 1964 was from an unidentified English show "that aired here that for some reason or another went into a trunk somewhere," the BBC reported Saturday.
"We've got a wonderful old ... tape that's been lost for 40 years that nobody's seen since it first aired," said Clark.
R&B singer Usher leads the field with four nominations, while hip-hop duo OutKast and rapper star Kanye West each have three nominations.
Usher, Kanye West, Rod Stewart and Alicia Keys will perform.
The "American Music Awards" will be telecast Nov. 14 on ABC.
