LOS ANGELES, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- The field of prospects to replace Craig Kilborn as host of CBS' "Late Late Show" is being narrowed down, The Hollywood Reporter said Wednesday.
Citing sources, the paper said Michael Ian Black, Damien Fahey, Craig Ferguson and D.L. Hughley are among the top remaining candidates for the job. They were among the lineup of more than 20 guest hosts who have appeared on the show since Kilborn left his post in August -- and The Reporter said they have been invited to return this month for multiple appearances.
Kilborn announced earlier this summer that he was leaving the show, which follows "Late Show with David Letterman" on CBS.
A spokesman for CBS had no comment, and a publicist for "Late Late Show" producer Worldwide Pants did not immediately return calls.
