Ashlee Simpson tries singing live again

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Ashlee Simpson, still doing damage control after getting caught lip-syncing on live TV, bungled the words while singing at a Los Angeles awards show.

Fans posted comments on Simpson's official Web site after Monday night's performance at the Radio Music Awards, claiming she sang the wrong words to "Autobiography," the New York Daily News reported Tuesday.

"Autobiography" is the same track that left Simpson embarrassed during last weekend's "Saturday Night Live" broadcast.

The wrong song complete with vocal tracks boomed from the speakers while Simpson stood with a microphone at her hip live on NBC Saturday night. The snafu sent her fleeing from the stage and into three days of making excuses.

Initially, Simpson blamed the gaffe on her band, then later said her voice was tired from too much work.

In an interview Monday night, Simpson blamed the "SNL" snafu on a recurrence of acid reflux, which she said left her with a sore throat.
