Courtney Love pleads guilty to hitting man

NEW YORK, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Rocker Courtney Love pleaded guilty Wednesday in New York to disorderly conduct for hitting a man with a microphone at a nightclub.

A Manhattan judge let Love leave following her plea, but laid down five conditions, which, if unheeded, could result in jail time, "Entertainment Tonight" said.

The judge required Love to cover the victim's medical expenses; enroll in a drug program; remain drug free; follow the rules of probation officials; and avoid committing crimes.

If Love sticks to the conditions, the case will be closed after one year, "ET" said.

The former Hole singer has spent the majority of the year in and out of New York and Los Angeles courtrooms on a variety of charges.
