NEW YORK, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Lifetime is planning a follow-up to its 2003 original movie "Sex & the Single Mom," Daily Variety reported Tuesday.
The paper said the cable channel has commissioned a sequel to the movie that attracted 4.1 million viewers for its initial showing. The film starred Gail O'Grady ("NYPD Blue," "American Dreams") as a divorced mother who becomes pregnant during an affair with a doctor -- while she is also trying to persuade her teenage daughter of the benefits of abstinence.
Variety said O'Grady and her "Sex" co-star Grant Show have already been signed for the sequel, but Lifetime had no immediate comment on the report.
