LOS ANGELES, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Cameron Diaz may testify in a Los Angeles lawsuit over topless photos of the "Charlie's Angels" actress.
Diaz is expected to be a witness for the prosecution in a case in which John Rutter has been accused of allegedly falsifying Diaz's signature in order to sell the 1992 photos, Celebrity Justice reported Tuesday.
Mark Werksman, Rutter's attorney, was in court Monday on his client's behalf when he predicted Diaz would testify.
"I think she'll be a witness for the prosecution, so you can expect that she will be testifying," Werskman said.
Rutter allegedly tried to sell the photos to Diaz for several million dollars before attempting to peddle them in Europe last year.
Extortion charges brought against the Los Angeles photographer were later dropped, but Rutter is still accused of forging Diaz's signature on a release form to falsely authorize himself to sell the images.
Rutter's trial is set to begin in November.
