'View' co-hosts defend S.E. Cupp over Hustler photo
BELGRADE, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Dozens of Serb extremists reportedly were on hand for the release of a romantic novel written by Radovan Karadzic, a fugitive accused of massacring Bosnians.
"Miraculous Chronicle of the Night," made its debut Monday at a Belgrade, Bosnia, bookstore, where fans lined up for a copy of the book, Britain's Independent reported Tuesday.
The author, who has been on the run for years due to his alleged role from 1992-1995 in the war in Bosnia, did not attend the book's release.
"Radovan will not be here with us today, as he is far away both from his friends and enemies," said Miroslav Toholj, who published Karadzic's book, which is described as an autobiography and love novel.
Another book was released Monday in Belgrade, written by Mira Markovic, wife of the former Serbian leader Slobodan Milosevic. Markovic also is in hiding.
Both authors have retained loyal supporters, many of whom showed up for the book releases.
