NEW YORK, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- David Gest, who is suing his estranged wife Liza Minnelli for $10 million, has given his deposition to a Manhattan attorney, reports Celebrity Justice.
Gest was flanked by a burly bodyguard as he entered the attorney's office Tuesday, the report said.
Although details of the deposition were not available, the report said Gest had earlier told TV show "Dateline" about the alleged pain and suffering at the hands of Minnelli.
"She was hitting me and hitting me and hitting me," he said on the show.
Gest claims Minnelli would attack him in alcohol-fueled rages, causing him to have migraine headaches.
Liza's lawyers say they are trying to prove Gest has pre-existing medical conditions which he wants to blame on their client, the report said.
Minnelli is also counter-suing Gest, saying he stole her money while he was her manager. They also have a divorce case that's pending.
