Pavoratti to give singing lessons

MODENA, Italy, Oct. 12 (UPI) -- Former opera singer Luciano Pavarotti has announced he will give singing lessons in his home town of Modena, Italy, the BBC reported.

Pavarotti, who retired last year, will tutor two dozen students on a two-year singing course at the Orazio Vecchi music school. Students who complete the course will obtain the equivalent of a masters degree.

Pavarotti also announced his annual benefit concert will take place this December in Sao Paulo, Brazil, instead of Modena.

The last Pavarotti and Friends concert took place in May, the BBC said.
