MEMPHIS, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- A Memphis, Tenn., judge has dismissed a rape charge lodged against "Barbershop" actor Anthony Anderson.
The judge said the accuser's testimony during a preliminary hearing did not produce probable cause to allow the charge to stand, Entertainment Tonight reported Wednesday.
The woman, who was seeking a job as an extra on Anderson's current movie "Hustle & Flow," accused the actor and assistant director Wayne Witherspoon, a co-defendant, of attacking her June 27 in a trailer set.
The woman also acknowledged she had sex with both men during a period of several days before the reported attack. She said those encounters also were forced, but she didn't report them.
Anderson still faces another lawsuit in Los Angeles filed by a woman who claims he assaulted her on the set of his now-defunct TV series, "All About the Andersons." He has also denied that accusation.
