NEW YORK, Oct. 4 (UPI) -- The ashes of actress Veronica Lake have turned up in a New York antiques shop more than 30 years after the Hollywood star died.
The actress' remains were believed to have been scattered off the Florida coast following Lake's 1973 death, Britain's Sun reported Monday.
Lake, who starred in scores of films including "I Married A Witch" and "The Blue Dahlia," reportedly died penniless at age 53.
"It's strange. I'm a huge fan," shop owner Laura Levine said.
