'Aladdin' in two-disc special edition

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 2 (UPI) -- Disney's animated film "Aladdin," featuring a new song sung by Clay Aiken, is being released as a two-disc special edition DVD, Oct. 5.

The double DVD is presented for the first time in a digital format and as a bonus feature includes the previously deleted song "Proud Of Your Boy" by Oscar-winning songwriters Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, sung by Aiken.

The DVD release also includes an all-new music video of "A Whole New World" performed by Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey.

Also included in the DVD are all-new animation, deleted scenes, never-before-seen "Aladdin" movie secrets and a never-before-seen 3-D tour of the genie's lamp. The two-disc special edition retails at $29.99.

The special collector's DVD gift set offers new character sketches, an actual film frame from the movie and an exclusive DVD companion book. It retails for $49.99.
