LOS ANGELES, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Oscar-winning screenwriter Sidney Sheldon, TV series creator, and novelist, and his wife, Alexandra, have put their Los Angles home for sale.

The 22,000-sq. foot Holmby Hills home, on 3 acres, which has 12 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, an office, a theater, a tennis court, a pool and a guesthouse, is selling for $23 million, reported the Los Angeles Times Saturday.

The grounds have formal rose gardens, a sunken Japanese garden with a waterfall and parking for 20 cars.

Sheldon, who has over 300 million books in print and created the hit TV series "I Dream Of Jeannie" and "Hart to Hart," won an Oscar for writing the movie "The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer."

The Sheldons have owned the Holmby property since 1978 and are thinking about moving to a smaller home, the Times said.
