Olsens sue over 'Save Mary-Kate' shirts

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have threatened to sue a Los Angeles company for selling "Save Mary-Kate" T-shirts while the twin battled an eating disorder.

Dualstar Entertainment Group officials sent an email Tuesday to the Randy Moss design firm asking it to cease and desist from selling the $20 T-shirts, which feature a sketch of Mary-Kate's thin frame, Zap2it.com reported Friday.

The threat said the company's actions constitute trademark infringement, false representation of origin, cybersquatting, unauthorized commercial use of name and likeness, unfair business practices and false advertising.

The company's principals Melissa Moss and Randy Bol published the letter on its Web site, savemarykate.blogspot.com.

The Olsens, who turned 18 in June, became co-presidents of Dualstar Entertainment Group and reportedly are worth $150 million each.
