MOSCOW, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Although Jim Carrey dated a prima ballerina on a recent visit to Moscow, the Hollywood actor did not get his wish to fly a MiG fighter jet.
Carrey missing out on his dream did not happen for lack of trying by Bob Van Ronkel, a former Beverly Hills, Calif., realtor turned entrepreneur with his Doors to Hollywood celebrity tourism business in Moscow, Moscow Times reported Thursday.
Van Ronkel, whose job it is to set up and escort Hollywood celebrities through Russian vacations, said he could have worked out the MiG request if given a few more days.
Instead, Carrey was treated to several rowdy nightclub outings, introduced to a number of very wealthy oligarchs and went out with former Bolshoi ballerina Anastasia Volochkova -- and Volochkova's heavily-armed bodyguards.
"I've never been on a date with a beautiful girl and two machine guns," Van Ronkel said Carrey later told him about the date.
