Al Pacino wins Emmy for 'Angels'

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Al Pacino won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie at the 56th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles Sunday.

Pacino was honored for his performance as attorney Roy Cohn in HBO's adapation of Tony Kushner's Pulitzer Prize-winning play "Angels in America."

Kushner also won an Emmy Sunday for his adaptation. Mary-Louise Parker won for Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie, and Jeffrey Wright won for Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie -- for their performances in "Angels in America."
