LOS ANGELES, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- A Los Angeles judge ordered the woman accused of making threats against actress Catherine Zeta-Jones to stand trial on 25 stalking-related charges.

Judge Patricia Schnegg ruled Wednesday Dawnette Knight will be tried for allegedly threatening Zeta-Jones through phone calls and letters saying she would kill or maim the actress, the New York Post reported Thursday.

Knight is scheduled to be back in court Sept. 29 for another arraignment, at which time her attorney Richard Herman will ask the judge to lower bail so she can leave prison.

"There was clearly an obsession at one point. My client is not mentally ill, my client's obsession is over, my client has a life to go on with," Herman said.

The threats reportedly stemmed from Knight's crush on actor Michael Douglas, Zeta-Jones' husband.

Knight currently is in prison in lieu of $1 million bail.
