"Angels in America" -- HBO's adaptation of Tony Kushner's Pulitzer Prize-winning play -- won for art direction, casting, makeup and sound mixing.

In its 11th and final season on NBC, "Frasier" picked up four Emmys. That gave the show 35 Emmys overall -- more than any other prime time show.

Fox finished with seven creative and technical emmys, followed by ABC and NBC with five each.

Sharon Stone and William Shatner both won their first Emmys -- both for guest appearances on the ABC drama series "The Practice."

The PBS series "American Masters" won four Emmys, and the cable series "A&E in Concert" won three Emmys -- two for a Sting concert special, and one for a Paul McCartney concert show.

The ceremony was taped for telecast over the E! cable channel on Sept. 18.
