LONDON, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- "Superstars" recruited Athens Olympians like silver medalist boxer Amir Khan and gold medal cyclists Bradley Wiggins and Chris Hoy for the British TV show.

The series will film this month at the Spanish resort of La Manga with plans to air the episodes next year on BBC1, Britain's Mirror reported Friday.

Khan, who will be the youngest athlete to appear on the BBC1 show, is determined to best previous boxers' records.

"I'm really looking forward to it. I want to do better than the boxers who appeared last time and I'm confident I can do well. I'm also delighted so many of my Olympic teammates will be there," Khan said.

Relay runner Marlon Devonish, rowers Ed Coode and Steve Williams, and Denise Lewis, who won gold at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, also will compete.
