NEW YORK, Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Actor Stuart Townsend says his fiancee Charlize Theron is recovering from an injury she suffered on a movie set in Germany last week.
"She's fine," Townsend told UPI Wednesday. "She's going to be out (of work) for about six weeks. But she's lucky. She's fine, but it could have been bad."
Townsend, who co-stars with the Oscar winner in the new period film, "Head in the Clouds," said Theron was injured while working on her new sci-fi flick, "Aeon Flux."
"She slipped while she was doing back-flips, somersaults, which she had been practicing, but then they suddenly had these platform heels on ... she just fell and slipped a disc, which went very close to her spinal chord, so we're lucky. Knowing her, in six weeks time she'll be back, all cylinders firing and ready to go."
