SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Mariska Hargitay, Detective Olivia Benson on "Law & Order: Special Victim's Unit," wed actor Peter Hermann in Santa Barbara, Calif., it was reported Friday.

The couple, who met when Hermann began playing the recurring role of attorney Trevor Langen on "Special Victim's Unit," married last Saturday after a four month engagement, E! Online said.

Hargitay, who wore a blush-colored Carolina Herrera gown with gardenias in her hair, was serenaded by a gospel choir whose repertoire included "Ain't No Mountain High Enough."

Ten nieces and nephews were included in the wedding party, said Yifat Oren, the wedding planner.

A reception was held on an estate in Montecito, Calif., where 200 guests enjoyed a 6-foot-tall wedding cake topped with the crystal initials "M&P."

The bride is the daughter of the late actress Jayne Mansfield and bodybuilding champion and actor Mickey Hargitay.

Hargitay, 40, received an Emmy nomination this year for her work on "Special Victim's Unit."
