LOS ANGELES, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Anne Heche will play the role of a woman in love with a doctor in the WB's "Everwood," the New York Post reported Wednesday.
The big screen actress will play Amanda Carver, whose husband is paralyzed and unable to communicate. She then becomes the love interest of Dr. Andrew Brown, played by Treat Williams.
The love interest develops as Brown teaches Amanda ways to communicate with her hubby.
Heche has starred in movies including "Psycho," "Six Days, Seven Nights," "Wag the Dog," "Donnie Brasco" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer."
She's no stranger to TV, having had a story arc on "Ally McBeal" and roles in various TV movies after getting her start on the soap "Another World."
"Everwood" kicks off its third season next month, when former "Party of Five" star Scott Wolf joins the cast as Dr. Jake Hartman.
