LOS ANGELES, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- David Cassidy's teenage daughter alleges the pop singer abandoned her, and she is seeking more child support.
In a legal petition filed on behalf of 17-year-old Katie, mother Sherry Benedon claims Cassidy isn't paying his daughter's medical bills and can well afford to increase her $3,700 per month in support payments.
The mother claims when she saw Cassidy in a recent Cheerios commercial singing his hit, "I Think I Love You," it became apparent to her that he could pay more, Celebrity Justice reported Wednesday.
The petition also alleges the former star of "The Partridge Family" called his daughter, "a spoiled little bitch," and claimed his lack of presence has fueled her "anxiety, anger and depression."
Cassidy's representatives said Benedon is upset because the last time she took him to court, the judge ruled Cassidy was paying too much in support.
