NASHVILLE, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Longtime favorites the Del McCoury Band and Alison Krauss and Union Station top the list of nominees for the International Bluegrass Music Awards.
The nominees were announced Thursday in Nashville, with McCoury and company leading the pack with nod in 12 categories and Krauss and Union Station receiving nine nominations.
The Del McCoury Band and Krauss and Union Station will vie for entertainer of the year honors, along with Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, Mountain Heart, and Rhonda Vincent and The Rage.
Male vocalist of the year nominations went to Del McCoury, Russell Moore, Tim O'Brien, Larry Sparks and Dan Tyminski.
Krauss, Dale Ann Bradley, Sonya Isaacs, Lynn Morris and Rhonda Vincent will compete for top female vocalist.
The 15th annual International Bluegrass Music Awards, with Krauss and Tyminski hosting, will be handed out Oct. 7 in Louisville, Ky.
