'View' co-hosts defend S.E. Cupp over Hustler photo
NEW YORK, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- R&B/hip-hop superstars R. Kelly and Jay-Z will tour North America together this fall, Billboard.com reports.
The 40-city "Best of Both Worlds" tour is scheduled to open Sept. 30 in Chicago and wrap up Nov. 28 in Phoenix. The rest of the dates have not yet been announced.
"We really don't want to give away too much of the show, because we want people to really be genuinely in shock and awe," said Jay-Z. "We're doing a 'shock and awe' campaign."
Jay-Z and Kelly previously collaborated on the 2002 album "Best of Both Worlds," but called off plans for a tour at the time -- following Kelly's arrest on child pornography charges. Kelly's legal case is still pending.
Kelly will release a new CD, "Happy People/U Saved Me," next Tuesday, and the single "Happy People" hit No. 7 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart earlier this summer.
Kelly took home seven trophies as the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Awards, including top R&B/hip-hop songwriter and producer.
