Brandy returning to series TV

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Actress-singer Brandy, who starred in the '90s series "Moesha," is returning to TV for another comedy series, The Hollywood Reporter said Friday.

The paper said Brandy is in the final stages of working out a deal with Fox Broadcasting Co., Touchstone TV and Storyline Entertainment to star in a half-hour series.

Storyline executives Craig Zadan and Neil Meron will executive produce the show. Brandy and her manager-mother Sonja Norwood will co-executive produce.

Brandy previously worked with Zadan and Meron on ABC's 1997 "Wonderful World of Disney" TV movie adaptation of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella."
