
WASHINGTON, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- A group of punk rockers Tuesday announced a tour aimed at encouraging their fans to vote against U.S. President Bush in battleground states.
The Rock Against Bush tour, organized by punkvoter.com, will be headlined by Anti-Flag, a group sponsors called, "One of today's most outspoken and credible punk bands."
"This tour is about motivating people to learn more, take action, and make their voices heard," said Anti-Flag frontman Justin Sane.
"We hope this tour will add to our ongoing dialogue about the dangerous policies of this regime," added Anti-Flag's Chris No. 2.
Appearing with Anti-Flag on the tour will be Midtown, Strike Anywhere, The Epoxies, The AKA's and Plea For Peace's founder Mike Park.
The tour kicks off Sept. 18 in Portland, Ore., and will include stops in Washington state, Arizona, Missouri and Ohio.
