New 'Survivor' season ready to air

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- An FBI agent, an amputee and a female sheep farmer are among the new batch of competitors in U.S. TV's "Survivor: Vanuatu, Islands of Fire."

The next set of 18 "Survivor" contestants will begin their quest for the prize Sept. 16 on CBS, TVGuide.com reported Tuesday.

"Survivor: All Star" lovebirds Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich were on CBS' "Early Show" Tuesday talking up next season's show and teasing about their impending wedding.

When "Early Show" host Julie Chen asked if the nuptials might be televised, Brkich told her "It's a pretty big possibility."
