LOS ANGELES, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Sofia Coppola is set to direct "Marie Antoinette," from her own screenplay, for Columbia, Daily Variety said Thursday.

Kirsten Dunst is attached to star in the title role and Jason Schwartzman will play Louis XVI.

Dunst has worked with Coppola before, on "The Virgin Suicides."

Schwartzman, Coppola's cousin, has appeared in "Rushmore," "Slackers" and the TV series "Cracking Up." His upcoming features include "Bewitched" and "Shopgirl."

Filming on "Marie Antoinette" is scheduled to begin in February in France.
