LOS ANGELES, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Pop singer Justin Timberlake reportedly has ditched his N'Sync bandmates, saying he doesn't want to make another record with the U.S. boy band.

"Justin said he's not in the mood and doesn't think it will work. He doesn't want any part of it," a source told Thursday's New York Daily News.

Timberlake's news has not set well with the four other singers.

"They aren't really talking to (Justin). They haven't taken it so well," the source said.

A record label spokesman denied the split.

"They're still together," he said, adding new records weren't expected this year from N'Sync, Timberlake or group member J.C. Chasez.

Timberlake has been the breakaway star from the group with a hit solo album, high profile romances, such as his current love interest, actress Cameron Diaz, and an infamous Super Bowl performance.
