Elvis embossed roses debut at Graceland

MEMPHIS, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- Fresh roses embossed with Elvis' image or his famous song titles, such as "Love Me Tender," are available this week, for the first time, at Memphis' Graceland.

Speaking Roses International, a Salt Lake City company that invented the proprietary technology used for imprinting images and messages on fresh roses, brings its floral goods to Graceland to coincide with Elvis Week, which continues through Monday in Memphis, the Memphis Commercial Appeal reported Thursday.

The specially imprinted long-stemmed roses come in several colors and messages for $6.50 each.

Elvis Week, which began last Monday, is an annual pilgrimage to Graceland by Elvis fans to commemorate the entertainer's death on Aug. 16, 1977.

Speaking Roses International also offers roses with messages such as "Happy Birthday" and "Get Well Soon," as well as custom lines.
