LOS ANGELES, Aug. 9 (UPI) -- Tim Robbins and Dax Shepard are set to star in Hollywood's "Zanthura," a space action film about a board game coming to life, from the writer of "Jumanji."

"Zathura" centers on two brothers who find their game comes to life in a space environment where meteors crash in their living room and a homicidal robot is out to get them. It will begin shooting this summer in Los Angeles, the Hollywood Reporter said Monday.

Shepard has been cast as an astronaut trapped in the game who helps the boys, played by Josh Hutcherson and Jonah Bobo. Robbins will play the boys' dad.

Chris Van Allsburg wrote the book of the same name, a sequel to "Jumanji," which was made into a film starring Robin Williams in 1995.

The movie is set for a 2005 release.
