'Apprentice' contender goes to Danza

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Ereka Vetrini, who was with co-star Omarosa on Donald Trump's "Apprentice" show, will now star with Tony Danza.

The 28-year-old New York native has signed on to be show announcer and sidekick on the "Who's the Boss" star's new syndicated offering "The Tony Danza Show," Zap2it reported.

"I was looking for someone whose name ended in a vowel, and I think I found her," Danza says. "Ereka's great, and I'm so happy she's aboard."

Vetrini will introduce each day's show and will stick around to discuss events, happenings and cultural tidbits with the "Taxi" star, the report said.

She'll also be a lead correspondent for the show, going to premieres and red carpet events.

"I couldn't be more thrilled about the opportunity to work with one of the most popular television personalities of all time," Vetrini said.

On the "Apprentice" show, Vetrini is probably best remembered for her feud with Omarosa, who accused the Boston College grad of using racial slurs. Vetrini has strongly and consistently denied all such charges.
