Ralph Fiennes to play 'Potter' villain

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Warner Bros. has announced British actor Ralph Fiennes will play the evil warlock Voldemort in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire."

The character has been a major presence in the first three Harry Potter movies, but this is the first time he will appear onscreen.

Fiennes is a two-time Oscar nominee. He was nominated for Best Actor for "The English Patient" in 1996, and for Supporting Actor for "Schindler's List" in 1993.
